Public Information and Records Request


To obtain a copy of a fire incident report or another open record, you must submit an open records request. Open records requests for Galveston County ESD No. 1 must be submitted once in writing, to be processed. Requests which are submitted through any other method including via email directly to District personnel, will not be accepted or processed.

 

How to Submit Requests

 

  1. Fill out a form of your choice or write out your request and submit it by one of these approved methods:

 

  • Email it to publicinformation@gcesd1.org. In the body of the email, include the type of information you’re requesting (type of report or record, incident date, etc.), and your contact information (name, email, phone number).
  • Send it by U.S. mail to Galveston ESD 1, c/o Coveler & Peeler, P.C., 820 Gessner, Suite 1710, Houston, Texas 77024.
  • Deliver it in person to Santa Fe Fire & Rescue Administration Office, located at 13112 Hwy 6, Santa Fe, Texas 77510.


Do not send any payments with your request. We will contact you if there are any charges related to your request for information, or the production of materials.

We will acknowledge receipt of your request, and ask for clarification if needed, or provide notice if a ruling is required from the Office of the Attorney General, which may delay production of your requested materials.
